PIRCH and Design Collaborative are excited to extend an exclusive invitation to the PIRCH Premier community and their fellow colleagues to showcase their talents alongside some of the best in the residential design industry. Win a chance to foster your unique design by interpreting the revitalization of a renowned Donald Wexler estate into the Morningstar Modern Design Show House. The residence will be the first-ever exclusive Show House “behind the gates” in The Vintage Club, one of America’s most prestigious private country clubs located in Indian Wells, California.
Introducing: Morningstar Modern
We’ve named the Wexler home in The Vintage Morningstar Modern. Built in 1984, this iconic home sits on the country club’s renowned Tom Fazio golf course, with stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The combination of steel, glass, and rock used in Morningstar Modern is characteristic of Wexler’s encompassing desert modern design.
Prize of a Lifetime
Invest in your personal brand by winning the chance to highlight your unique design perspective in the Morningstar Modern show house. Winner will be given the bedroom 2 live-in space, in conjunction with the accompanying en suite bath and kitchenette to exhibit their distinct design interpretation exclusively specifying Dornbracht product. In exchange for your imagination and time, PIRCH and our generous sponsors will ensure your talent will be exhibited across the map through a platform of marketing and portfolio recognition utilizing media, event, and social channels. How to Participate
- Create your digital moodboard, utilizing the color palette and inspiration photos provided by Lead Designer Chris Barrett.
- Include one Dornbracht faucet that aided in your theme.
- Follow @pirch and @designcollaborativeusa on Instagram.
- Post your digital moodboard on your Instagram feed, tagging @pirch and @designcollaborativeusa and using #PirchxDesignCollaborativeMBDC in the post.
- Contest will begin on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 and run through Monday, March 14, 2022.
PIRCH and Design Collaborative will announce our selected winner by posting the winning mood board on Monday, March 28, 2022.
How the Winner is Selected
Cohesiveness
Does the imagery and overall aesthetic of the submission feel cohesive?
Balance
Is the weight of the images balanced throughout the board? Are the colours and images balanced?
Brand
Does the board reflect the values and quality of the PIRCH and Design Collaborative brands?
Realism
Can the mood board be applied to the show house project?
Overall Impression
Does the composition of the mood board give an overall positive impression?
About Lead Designer Chris Barrett
Known for her portfolio of custom residences and estates, Chris Barrett’s unique vision has been well matched to the varied lifestyles of her clientele, always with care and passion. Her work includes a Spanish Colonial residence in La Jolla, California, a midcentury modern in Los Angeles, a villa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and numerous other high profile projects. She has also taken on a wide range of commercial assignments, boutique hotels and restaurants.
